Integrale Raumthesen is a performative sound installation that explores and sensitizes audiences to architecture as a social space.
Using an array of instruments—including mobile media technology, 3D audio speaker systems such as the IKOsahedral loudspeaker and the 3-9-3 sound projector, as well as traditional musical instruments and (artificial) voices—the work seeks to merge artistic practices with social processes. The aim is to initiate gatherings and ways of thinking in which space can be reimagined.
The first in a series of three site-specific sound performances engages with the architectural, historical, and social layers of the EXPO 2000 Pavilion at the Volkenroda Monastery. Sound is not merely a medium of representation, but an active agent for interaction, memory, and collective reflection.
